Electrical Systems Engineer ll/lll Description About This Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join our team. Responsibilities + Perform systems engineering activities for complex electronic systems, from concept to deployment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements, and industry standards. + Conduct system requirements analysis, definition, and allocation, translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements. + Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design. + Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and subject matter experts, to develop system architectures and design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability.' + Oversee system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional requirements and performance objectives. + Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address technical challenges and ensure system safety, security, and interoperability. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. + Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones. + Support the preparation of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and contractual requirements. + Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with 2 years of related experience. + Excellent written and oral communications. + Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships + Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models and DOORS requirement management tool preferred + Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction + An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired.
