Electrical Assembler
$25 to $35/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Houston. This is a shop/yard-based position assembling and wiring electrical systems for drilling rig equipment. This role does not require travel to drilling rigs or field service work. Candidates will read electrical schematics and blueprints to assemble and wire equipment in a warehouse/yard environment. No electrical license is required.
Responsibilities
Assemble and wire electrical components and equipment according to blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
Install wiring, switches, panels, junction boxes, and other electrical components on manufactured equipment.
Perform continuity testing and quality inspections to ensure proper installation.
Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues during assembly.
Work closely with supervisors and engineering to ensure assemblies meet design specifications.
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
Assist with modifications and improvements to electrical assemblies as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical or trade school training is a plus.
Experience reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
Experience assembling or wiring industrial equipment, machinery, control panels, or similar electrical systems.
Comfortable using hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Schedule
This position is performed in a warehouse and outdoor yard environment.
Must be able to work outdoors in Texas heat, cold, humidity, and other changing weather conditions.
Overtime is expected and is a regular part of this position.
Must be willing to work up to 6 days per week, including extended hours when production demands require.
Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
Compensation
$25-$35/hour, depending on experience.
Overtime opportunities available.
No insurance or vacation offered for the first year.
