PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Wiring Design Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support electrical wiring and harness design for advanced military aircraft, including development and release of wiring diagrams, schematics, and build-to-package documentation.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
2+ years of wiring harness, schematic, or wiring diagram design experience.
2+ years of CAD drafting experience using CATIA, Capital, or similar tools.
2+ years of experience creating Build-to-Package (BTP) documentation, including parts lists and application/effectivity data.
Ability to interpret redlined wiring diagrams, schematics, harness drawings, and engineering source data.
Experience performing technical checks of electrical design documentation.
Preferred Skills
Experience designing electrical systems for aerospace platforms such as the F-16, F-35, F-22, or similar aircraft.
Experience with CATIA CADAM Drafting.
Experience with aircraft configuration-management or engineering-data systems.
What You’ll Do
Develop and update aircraft wiring harnesses, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Resolve wiring and integration issues between avionics and electrical systems.
Convert engineering source data and redlined drawings into released design documentation.
Create wiring drawings and schematics using CAD tools.
Develop Build-to-Package documentation, including parts lists and configuration-effectivity information.
Perform technical reviews to ensure wiring documentation is accurate and complete.
Support incorporation of aircraft modifications into formally controlled configurations.
Provide engineering review and sign-off for wiring-related change documentation.
Pay
$65.00–$75.00 per hour.
