Description/Job Summary:
The Electrician supports a secure federal facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program by performing electrical preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and service call response activities within a mission-critical facilities environment in Northern Virginia.
This position is responsible for supporting daily operations involving electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, emergency power systems, generators, UPS systems, panels, branch circuits, transformers, switches, receptacles, and associated building electrical infrastructure. The electrician supports operational readiness by responding to service calls, completing preventive maintenance activities, maintaining maintenance documentation, and supporting emergency response operations in accordance with contract requirements and Government standards.
The Electrician works closely with site leadership, maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and Government representatives to support daily operations within a secure TS/SCI environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical systems and associated components.
Experience supporting electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, panels, branch circuits, transformers, switches, receptacles, and related infrastructure.
Experience responding to service calls and supporting emergency maintenance activities.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and specifications.
Ability to use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to maintain maintenance records and service call documentation.
Ability to work safely in accordance with applicable electrical safety standards and operational procedures.
Ability to work in a secure federal facilities environment and support emergency response activities as required.
