Description

Position Summary The Program Director oversees the Electrician Technician training program, ensuring high-quality instruction, regulatory compliance, and strong student outcomes. This role manages faculty, maintains curriculum standards, and supports the overall success and growth of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Electrician Technician program, including scheduling and program planning.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate instructional staff.
  • Maintain and update curriculum, labs, tools, and electrical training equipment.
  • Support student retention, completion, and job-readiness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Career Services to strengthen employer partnerships and placement opportunities.
  • Manage program budgets, inventory, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate advisory board meetings and integrate industry feedback.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the electrical field, including installation, maintenance, or industrial/commercial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in education, training, or technical environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Journeyman or Master Electrician license, teaching experience, or related degree/certifications.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, classroom, and hands-on lab settings.
  • Requires adherence to safety protocols and occasional lifting or equipment handling.
