Job Summary
The Electro/Mechanical Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. This role follows defined methods and sequences for wiring, component installation, soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting while executing production operations, rework, and quality testing.
The position collaborates closely with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality, and leadership to support production goals, engineering experimentation, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and promote a safe work environment; identify and react to unsafe or hazardous situations.
Meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
Organize and verify components prior to assembly operations.
Assemble moderately complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies in accordance with procedures and documentation.
Execute soldering operations per IPC standards.
Read and interpret moderately complex schematics and blueprints.
Utilize mechanical tools, electrical tools, measurement devices, soldering equipment, crimpers, and hand tools.
Complete all required quality and assembly documentation in alignment with quality management system requirements.
Meet standard production cycle times.
Apply working knowledge of required test equipment independently.
Report non-conformances and complete NCE documentation as appropriate.
Support root cause investigations and process validations.
Participate in Managed Daily Improvement (MDI) discussions and 5S initiatives.
Conduct inventory transactions and process work order transactions using Oracle.
Retrieve documentation using Oracle and Agile systems.
Maintain accurate training records and complete required training.
Adhere to standardized production schedules and overtime requirements as needed.
Required Experience
1–2 years of experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly.
Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly documentation.
Ability to follow FDA regulations and ISO requirements.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with Oracle ERP or Agile Product Lifecycle Management systems.
IPC 610 / 620 Certification.
Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling best practices.
