Job Summary:
The Electro/Mechanical Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly operations on components, subassemblies, and finished products. This role supports production operations by performing assembly, testing, rework, and documentation tasks while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and measurement product assembly operations on components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Follow defined methods and sequences when performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting on assembly units.
  • Execute production operations as well as rework and quality testing related to parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Follow all operating procedures to maintain high quality and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing associates, engineering, quality teams, and leadership to meet production requirements.
  • Support engineering experimentation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in team efforts to identify production improvements.
  • Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
  • Apply job skills and company procedures to complete assigned tasks independently when performing routine and moderately complex work.
  • Recognize production obstacles and coordinate with senior technicians or team leads to resolve issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment and respond to any unsafe or hazardous situations.
  • Meet quality, efficiency, and safety requirements and standards.
  • Organize and verify components before completing assembly operations.
  • Assemble moderately complex sub-assemblies and final assemblies following procedures and documentation.
  • Perform moderately complex soldering operations according to IPC standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
  • Utilize mechanical tools, electrical tools, measurement devices, soldering equipment, crimpers, and other hand tools.
  • Complete quality and assembly documentation aligned with quality management system requirements.
  • Meet standard production cycle time expectations.
  • Apply working knowledge of test equipment used within operations areas.
  • Report non-conformances to supervisors and complete required documentation.
  • Support quality standards and process compliance.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and troubleshooting activities.
  • Perform process validations and suggest improvements to engineering or team leads.
  • Complete documentation updates aligned with engineering direction.
  • Participate in daily improvement processes and team discussions.
  • Maintain 5S standards within the work area.
  • Complete all training requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct inventory transactions to maintain system accuracy.
  • Process work orders using Oracle systems.
  • Retrieve documentation through Oracle and Agile systems.
  • Maintain data entry tools and material orders independently.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to production schedules, including overtime when required.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED or Associate Degree.
  • 1–2 years of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and focus on quality.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience using Oracle ERP or Agile Product Lifecycle Management systems.
  • IPC 610 / 620 Certification.
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling practices.
