Electrical Assembly II (Electro-Mechanical Assembler)

San Diego, California

Onsite

2nd Shift

2nd shift hours will consist of 2:30pm-12am, train on 1st shift for the first day starting at 8am.

24.92/hr 2nd Shift Position Summary

• Support the San Diego Manufacturing Depot in sustaining legacy magnetics products used in Aegis and Patriot radar systems.
• Perform repair, fabrication, modification, assembly, and rework of electrical and mechanical assemblies in accordance with engineering documentation and work instructions.
• Support production operations involving transformers, power supplies, and magnetic assemblies.
• Work as part of a small, skilled production team supporting defense-related programs.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, procedures, electromechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematics.
• Perform production hand-soldering in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Use computer systems and internal software tools for documentation, travelers, and production data entry.
• Assemble, route, connect, and secure electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and measurement devices.
• Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Follow Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform work in seated and standing positions as required, including bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders or step stools.
• Lift, carry, or move components up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Support onsite depot production operations on 2nd shift.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of production hand-soldering experience.
• Experience working with electromechanical drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
• U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• J-STD-001 soldering certification.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, or electrical testing.
• Familiarity with defense manufacturing environments or AS9100/ISO-certified manufacturing environments.
• Experience working effectively in a small, high-performing team environment.
