Mural has teamed up with a global producer of engineered components serving automotive and industrial markets—parts that are critical for reducing noise, vibration, and harshness in demanding systems. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert keeping highly automated lines healthy and productive. Your focus: equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and steady improvements that protect quality and on-time delivery.
A day in the life
You start by reviewing the CMMS schedule—lining up preventive and predictive tasks before production ramps. A call comes in for a line stop: you quickly isolate the issue, confirming an electrical fault via schematics and PLC diagnostics (no code changes required), replace the failed component, and restore flow. Later, you fine-tune a preventive maintenance interval to reduce repeat failures, verify system hydraulics after a leak repair, and document every step with precise work orders. You wrap the shift by collaborating with operators on recurring issues, aligning on a longer-term fix that protects uptime and safety.
What you’ll take on
Own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across production equipment and facility systems
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems
Respond rapidly to breakdowns to reduce production impact and keep lines running
Enhance preventive maintenance plans to drive reliability gains
Interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide troubleshooting and repairs
Use PLC-controlled system diagnostics to identify faults and support troubleshooting (typically no programming required)
Partner with production to surface repeat issues and implement durable countermeasures
Maintain accurate records, work orders, and documentation in CMMS
Adhere to safety standards and participate in continuous improvement efforts
Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery
Required qualifications
3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
Demonstrated troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems
Hands-on experience with motors, drives, conveyors, and automated equipment
Proficiency reading schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity with PLCs for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights or weekends as needed
Preferred qualifications
Multi-craft capability (electrical and mechanical)
Background in high-volume or highly automated production
Experience with CMMS and maintenance tracking
Exposure to Lean/continuous improvement methodologies
