    Description

    Job Summary

    Performs technical work involving the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of radar and radio frequency (RF) electronic systems. Works in both laboratory and field environments to support testing, data collection, and operational readiness of electronic and radar equipment.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Operates radar systems and electronic equipment on a daily basis
    • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains analog and digital electronic systems
    • Supports radar transmitters, receivers, timing systems, and RF transmission lines
    • Reads and interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, and RF signal flows
    • Constructs and fabricates electronic and RF components using standard techniques
    • Performs testing, diagnostics, and system validation activities
    • Works in both lab and field environments as required
    • Supports installation, maintenance, and sustainment of electronic systems
    • Performs additional technical duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirements

    • Education or training in electronics, microwave theory, or related field
    • Hands-on experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting
    • Strong understanding of RF systems, analog/digital electronics, and electro-mechanical systems
    • Ability to work with test equipment and diagnostic tools
    • Experience with components such as transistors, logic circuits, and RF devices
    • Strong soldering and component-level troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (field + lab)
    • Relevant technical certifications preferred (e.g., electronics technician certification)
