The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, cleaning, and labeling Industrial PLC Center surplus items at the point of sale. This role ensures product quality, functionality, and readiness for sale while supporting Radwell quality standards, productivity requirements, and customer backlog demands.
Key Responsibilities
Verify part numbers on all units processed
Inspect, clean, and test all assigned units
Properly utilize shop assets and test fixtures
Perform power and diagnostic testing on all units
Program units as required
Support quality methods, processes, and procedures
Support and improve final product quality
Support development of technical capabilities
Perform occasional light repair work
Process pre-evaluation units to RTS (Ready To Sell) condition
Ensure proper handling and labeling of all units
Capture estimated parts and labor costs for repairs
Manage time effectively and prioritize workload
Properly use IT systems for tracking and documentation
Provide personal hand and power tools
Willingness to work on products outside of assigned department to support customer backlog
Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned
Production-Level Metrics
Performance tracked through the Technician Level Program
Maintain minimum dollars-per-hour produced requirement as defined by technician level
Actual production calculated by gross dollars produced (before parts and adjustments) divided by total hours worked
Periodic written and technical aptitude testing
Minimum items produced per day based on department standards
Maintain warranty percentage per ISO requirements
Qualifications
Ability to troubleshoot to the component level and solder components
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Knowledge & Skills Required

PLC testing abilities
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
One to three years of technical school or equivalent experience preferred
Technical or industrial product knowledge a plus
Physical Demands
Occasional sitting, reaching or working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Frequent walking
Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and continuous lifting up to 10 pounds
Compensation & Commission
The recruiting base pay scale for this full-time position is $17.00$21.00 per hour.
Within the base pay range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Eligible for commission after successful completion of the introductory 90-day period.
