JOB TITLE: Electronics Technician

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary: 

• Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic circuit card assemblies and subassembly units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.

• Lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.

• Adjusts and calibrates electronic assembly systems as required.

• Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.

• Uses hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.

• Determines types of tests to be performed, approves or suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment.

• Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications.

• Troubleshoots to the component level and utilizes schematic diagrams to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry.

• Applies strong knowledge of solid state devices and micro-circuitry.

• Uses measurement devices including Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency standards, and signal generators.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Experience setting up test apparatus and conducting tests of electronic circuit card assemblies and subassembly units.

• Experience laying out and assembling units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.

• Experience adjusting and calibrating electronic assembly systems.

• Experience correcting malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components.

• Experience using hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices.

• Experience determining types of tests to be performed and analyzing test results to evaluate product and equipment performance.

• Experience troubleshooting to the component level using schematic diagrams to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry.

• Knowledge of solid state devices and micro-circuitry.

• Proficiency in the use of Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency standards, and signal generators.
