    Electrophysiology Technician
    Location: Albany, New York
    Employment Type: 3 Months Contract
    Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
    Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4 Days × 10 Hours)
    Work Setting: Onsite

    The Electrophysiology Technician supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures by preparing equipment, monitoring patient status, operating specialized EP systems, and assisting with patient care throughout procedures. This role ensures safe, efficient procedural support while maintaining excellent patient care and clinical documentation.

    Key Responsibilities
    Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
    Prepare and maintain the Electrophysiology laboratory.
    Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient hemodynamic status.
    Implement and monitor patient care plans.
    Record and communicate patient conditions.
    Coordinate patient care with physicians and nursing staff.
    Carry out physician and nursing orders.
    Assist with cardiac mapping and ablation procedures.
    Prepare specialized EP equipment and supplies.
    Support pacemaker and ICD procedures.
    Maintain sterile procedural techniques.
    Document procedural information accurately.
    Assist with patient recovery and discharge planning.
    Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
    Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

    Required Qualifications
    Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology Technician experience.
    Experience supporting Cardiac Electrophysiology procedures.
    Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation.
    Ability to monitor patients during invasive procedures.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment.

    Preferred Qualifications
    RCES Certification.
    ACLS Certification.
    Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience.
    Experience with 3D EP Mapping Systems.
    Pacemaker and ICD implantation experience.
    Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
    Advanced cardiac monitoring experience.
