At Simply Ed, we believe every NYC public school student deserves the attention, support, and encouragement they need to thrive — and so do you. As an Elementary Math & ELA Teacher’s Assistant at P.S. 31 Samuel F. Dupont, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students as they strengthen the foundational literacy and mathematical skills they need for continued academic success across Grades K–5.
This role focuses on providing push-in support during Math and ELA instruction, working alongside classroom teachers to give students additional academic support within their regular classroom environment. You’ll help students work through challenging concepts, reinforce grade-level skills, and provide more individualized attention to students who may benefit from extra support.
Because this position supports students across the full K–5 grade range, strong proficiency in both Math and ELA is essential. You should be confident in your subject knowledge and comfortable adjusting your explanations and instructional approaches to meet the needs of students at different grade levels, from early foundational learning to more advanced upper-elementary concepts.
