What You'll Do

As an Eligibility Specialist, you will review denied and rejected claims, identify the root cause of issues, and take action to correct and resubmit claims. You'll play an important role in supporting reimbursement processes while maintaining accurate account documentation and collaborating with your team to resolve challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Review denial, rejection, and eligibility reports to identify claim issues
• Analyze denied or rejected claims, determine the cause, and make necessary corrections for resubmission
• Identify the appropriate financial class (FSC) and insurance payer based on eligibility responses
• Maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive account documentation
• Escalate system issues, missing information, coding concerns, and other claim-related challenges to leadership as needed
• Work with a variety of source documents to support claim resolution
• Support additional departmental responsibilities as assigned

You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 6+ months of patient registration and eligibility verification experience
• Basic understanding of insurance eligibility and claim processing
• Ability to work with multiple systems and source documents
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
