Description Of Services

• The Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test software for cryptographic or software-defined radio infrastructure, utilizing embedded and real-time systems development tools.

• Duties include working within an Agile environment, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (Systems Engineering, Hardware, Integration & Test), and analyzing system capabilities to resolve programming and control issues.

• This role requires proficiency in C/C++ and Object-Oriented programming, with experience integrating low-level firmware/software in complex, real-time, multi-threaded embedded applications.

• The ideal candidate will be experienced in all phases of the formal software lifecycle, use tools like Jira/Bitbucket/Git, and develop/debug embedded real-time systems while applying static analysis and unit testing.

Skills/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or STEM with 5+ years of experience; Master's with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year -- (Required)

• Proficient in C/C++ and Object-Oriented programming -- (Required)

• Experience with the full software lifecycle process (requirements to testing) -- (Required)

• Experience integrating firmware/software in real-time multi-threaded embedded applications -- (Required)

• Experience developing and debugging embedded real-time systems -- (Required)

• Familiarity with Static Analysis and Unit Testing -- (Required)

• Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git and Agile processes -- (Required)

• Experience with Software Defined Radios -- (Preferred)

• Experience with Xilinx platforms (Zynq, Ultrascale+, VERSAL) -- (Preferred)

• Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet) -- (Preferred)

• Experience implementing cryptographic mechanisms -- (Preferred)

• DoD Secret clearance -- (Preferred)
