Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Develop, sign, configure, and validate secure boot loaders including Boeing-developed and open-source EFI boot loaders.

  • Lead Secure Boot integration efforts, including vendor coordination, documentation, training materials, and compliance support.

  • Perform recovery testing and verification for secure boot and firmware recovery mechanisms.

  • Support PolarFire firmware services related to encryption and hashing algorithms.

  • Develop and maintain user space APIs for encryption and hash algorithms.

  • Implement and validate hardware root of trust features, including fuse configuration and testing.

  • Manage firmware update planning, execution, testing, and lifecycle support.

  • Design and develop custom Secure Boot UEFI applications.

  • Configure, test, and validate secure boot loaders and firmware security processes.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, firmware, hardware, and software teams to integrate security capabilities.

  • Provide technical training and maintain security-related documentation.

  • Stay current on cybersecurity best practices, firmware security, and secure boot technologies.

Requirements:

  • Ability to Obtain clearance required.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 7+ years of experience with secure boot loader development, signing, configuration, and UEFI Secure Boot.

  • 7+ years of experience with PolarFire FPGA firmware services or similar hardware security platforms.

  • 7+ years of experience developing and testing firmware updates and secure boot processes.

  • Strong knowledge of firmware security, encryption, hashing algorithms, and hardware root of trust concepts.

  • Experience with fuse configuration and hardware security features.

  • Experience developing user space APIs related to encryption and hashing.

  • Strong programming/scripting skills in C, C++, Python, Bash, or similar languages.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in security-critical environments.

  • Strong communication skills with experience creating technical documentation and delivering training.

  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and external vendors.

  • 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity standards and firmware/boot security best practices.

  • 5+ years of experience working in safety-critical environments with standards such as DO-178C, ISO 26262, or similar.

  • Experience developing cybersecurity features compliant with safety-critical certification requirements.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
