Responsibilities:

• Candidates selected will receive a supplemental income equivalent to a 0.5 FTE (20 hrs/week). If applicable, participants will work a 0.4-0.5 FTE (16-20 hrs/week) to keep their total FTE whole at a 1.0 (full-time, benefit eligible status).
• After completing the program, participants must remain at UnityPoint Health – Des Moines for 1 year upon completion of the DMACC EMT program.
• Program length: 16 weeks

Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required.

Work Experience:
At least 6 months experience in a patient facing role preferred. 

Licenses and Certifications:
EMT Basic Upon Hire.
Basic Life Support Certification Healthcare Provider Level Upon Hire.
Valid Driver’s License For communting to clinical sites Upon Hire.
