Position Overview

Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician looking for a low-volume, high-quality clinical environment with an unmatched schedule? A dedicated Critical Access community hospital in a picturesque region of Wisconsin is seeking an MD or DO to join their emergency care team.

With an annual volume of just ~6,800 visits and a commitment of only 4 shifts per month (offered in flexible 12- or 24-hour blocks), this position is designed to protect you from burnout while keeping your clinical skills sharp.

Department & Role Highlights

• EMR: MEDITECH Expanse

• ED Volume: ~6,800 annual visits (low-stress, community-paced environment)

• ️ Shift Structure: Flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shifts

• Environment: Well-equipped Level III Emergency Department with strong specialty support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages.

• Triage, stabilize, and manage acute patients efficiently.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop care plans, and write admission orders.

• Utilize the integrated MEDITECH Expanse system for seamless, accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO).

• Licensure: Active or eligible for a valid Wisconsin medical license.

• Certification: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; active DEA certification.

• Experience: Proven clinical success as a career emergency medicine physician.
