Employment Attorney: Plaintiff     

$150,000–$300,000+ 

Plaintiff-side employment and civil rights practice is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its growing team. Can be fully remote for an attorney who is comfortable independently managing an active employment docket and wants meaningful responsibility handling sophisticated employee-side litigation.

The Practice

The firm represents individuals in matters involving:

• Employment discrimination
• Retaliation and wrongful termination
• Harassment
• Wage and employment-related claims
• Whistleblower matters
• Civil rights claims
• EEOC, IDHR, and related administrative proceedings
• Federal and Illinois state court litigation

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of employment law experience
• Strong plaintiff-side employment experience preferred
• Experience before the EEOC and IDHR
• Litigation experience in Cook County and the Northern District of Illinois
• Strong legal research, writing, and briefing skills
• Experience managing discovery and substantive litigation matters
• Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, and client relationships
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality written work product
• Illinois Bar admission

Attorneys with comparable employment, whistleblower, civil rights, or sophisticated plaintiff-side litigation experience are also encouraged to apply.

The Role

The attorney will be expected to:

• Manage a growing employment litigation docket
• Handle discovery from strategy through completion
• Draft substantive briefs, motions, and other filings
• Pursue matters before the EEOC, IDHR, IDOL, and other agencies
• Litigate cases in federal and state court
• Participate in client intake and case evaluation
• Work directly with clients throughout the life of a matter
• Assist in mentoring and developing junior attorneys
• Contribute to litigation strategy and internal practice improvements

Compensation & Benefits

• Target total compensation of approximately $150,000–$300,000+
• Base compensation plus performance-based contingent-fee participation
