About the Role:

One of our clients, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Senior Counsel Employment & Labor to join its expanding practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced attorney with a strong background in California employment law, litigation, and advisory matters. Youll work closely with leading attorneys, handling complex and high-profile cases for major employers across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend employers in individual and class action wage and hour cases, as well as PAGA claims.

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions.

• Represent clients in court appearances, arbitrations, and government investigations.

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests and draft meet-and-confer correspondence.

• Advise clients on compliance with California employment laws, including drafting employment and severance agreements, workplace policies, and employee handbooks.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

• 7-8 years of experience in labor and employment law, with significant exposure to California employment matters.

• Proven record of advising employers and defending complex litigation in both court and arbitration.

• Active member, in good standing, of the California Bar (or eligible for admission by waiver).

• Prior experience at an Am Law 100 or 200 firm preferred.
