The Firm’s Labor & Employment group handles both advisory and contested matters for employers. It’s adding a mid-level associate to support continued growth in its East Coast offices.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Counsel employers on federal and state employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, leave, and accommodation issues
• Draft handbooks, policies, employment agreements, and separation agreements
• Handle employment litigation in state and federal court, including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and mediation
• Respond to and defend charges before the EEOC and state agencies
• Assist with workplace investigations and training

Qualifications:

• JD and active bar admission in at least one of these states PA, NJ, VA, MD, or DC (or eligibility in the target market)
• About 3–5 years of labor and employment experience, ideally including both counseling and litigation
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage matters independently and communicate directly with clients
