The Occupational Health EMT provides first aid, emergency medical care, and ongoing treatment to employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role works closely with the Occupational Health and Safety teams to promote employee well-being, respond to workplace injuries and illnesses, and support health and safety initiatives throughout the facility.
Essential Responsibilities
Administer first aid treatment and life-support care to injured or ill employees.
Perform emergency clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment procedures within the EMT scope of practice.
Observe, document, and communicate employee conditions, treatments provided, and responses to medications or treatment to the Occupational Health Nurse and/or physician.
Assess the nature and extent of illnesses or injuries to determine and prioritize appropriate medical care.
Provide comfort, support, and reassurance to employees receiving medical attention.
Deliver ongoing treatment and follow-up care as directed.
Partner with employees and management to identify and implement ergonomic improvements.
Conduct drug and alcohol screenings.
Perform hearing conservation testing for team members.
Maintain a courteous, professional, and customer-focused approach at all times.
Collaborate closely with the Safety Department to support workplace health and safety initiatives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in the State of Nebraska.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee medical information.
