Endoscopy Tech/ Full Time / Days / 40 hrs

Schedule: Full Time / Days. On-call coverage 1 week/weekend approximately every 4-5 weeks. 1630-0600 call hours on weeknights, 24/7 on weekends.

Supports endoscopic procedures by preparing the equipment, field and managing specimens. Responsibilities: Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate. Interprets, describes and reports test results. Recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately. Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition. Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, Emergency Medical Tech training, preferred. Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing, preferred. Minimal two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting, preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: BLS required.
