Title: Endoscopy Technician

Location: Oconomowoc Wisconsin 53066

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8hr Day Shift (40)

Shift Information: M-F, Typically 0630-1630 but can vary

Clinical Interviewing- Yes

On Call, Call Back Requirements: Nightly call (Once per week)

Weekend Rotation: Weekend Call (every 4th weekend)

Holiday Requirements: Holiday Call (2 per year)

Floating Requirements: None

• Level II Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• Beds: 91

General Information

• Beds: 3 procedure rooms, 1 ENDO, 1 ERCP, 20ish pre/post op bays

Experience: 1 years
First-time traveler: Upon Review

Patient Types:

• Upper and lower GI, Endo, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, Vasectomy
• Covid & PPE

Patient Ratios: 1:4 in the pre/post area

Required Certifications:

• RN - BLS ACLS
• Tech - CST and BLS
• GI Techs do not need to be CSTs, CSTs preferred. They scrub cases.

Skills required

• Endo Experience, ERCP Experience preferred, Nurses also need pre/post experience, sedation experience, read/interpret tele

Support on the Unit:

• Charge nurse: takes patient assignment
• Phlebotomy- share responsibility with RN

Charting System/Equipment:

• EPIC
• Alaris
• Pyxis
• Bedside telemetry – no tele tech

Floating:

• Rare but can go to day surgery or the pain clinic

Orientation:

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation
• Will they be on call: If so, what is that schedule:
  • 1 weeknight every 2 weeks (1600-0700)
  • 1 weekend every 8 ^th weekend (Fri 1500-Mon 0700)
  • 30 min response time
• Holiday Expectations:
