The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a fellowship-trained endourologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the University Medical Line. The ideal candidate will be experienced in endourological and minimally invasive surgical procedures, particularly kidney stone disease, along with an exemplary track record in patient care and teaching. Additionally, the candidate will have a background in translational and/or clinical research, with the potential or demonstrated ability to develop an independent research program and secure extramural funding.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The successful applicant must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in the overall mix of contributions in clinical care, teaching and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine appropriate to the programmatic need upon which the appointment will be based. There should be evidence that candidates have attained or show the promise to attain regional or national recognition for excellence in the overall mix of contributions. If these individuals have not had formal teaching experience, they should have demonstrated during their house staff and fellowship training a commitment to teaching, and they should have the potential to meet or exceed acceptable standards in teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should be board-certified or board-eligible with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and fellowship training in endourology. We expect the successful candidate to develop a robust research program with the goal to attain or maintain national recognition and independent extramural funding. The candidate will engage in teaching and serve as an integral member of our training programs. A track record of innovative peer-reviewed publications and extramural career development awards is highly desired.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Assistant Professor: $391,000 - $427,000

Associate Professor: $447,000 - $492,000

Professor: $498,000 - $598,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
