Description

Energy Project ManagerMust be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Secret Clearance. Some travel is required.Statement of Work: The Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI), under the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment (ASA(IE&E)), serves as the Army's central program management office for the development, implementation, and oversight of privately financed, large-scale, energy projects focused on enhancing energy resilience on Army installations. Through this project, the client collaborates with OEI to drive innovation, accelerate project delivery, and amplify their impact by leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and strategic partnerships, ultimately elevating OEI's profile and contributions to the success of broader Federal, Joint Force, and Army energy goals.Task Description: The Energy Project Manager (PM) supports the Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI) in managing all aspects of the development of multiple large-scale alternative energy resilience projects. The Energy PM helps manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including project scoping, site selection, Department of War (DoW) acquisition processes, project approval processes, and third-party project financing processes. The PM will be responsible for independently coordinating and completing project activities with internal and external stakeholders and overcoming obstacles, ensuring each project phase is completed on schedule.Required Skills/Level of Experience10+ years of experience with DoW Civil Engineering and Energy/Facilities Management; or similar experience in the energy industryBachelor's degree in Civil or Power Engineering, Business, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field is required!Experience managing the full lifecycle ("cradle to grave") of large-scale alternative energy projects, including scoping, site selection, acquisition, and federal approvalsStrong understanding of third-party financing mechanisms (e.g., ESPC, UESC, PPAs), energy economics, and life cycle cost analysisFamiliarity with DoW acquisition and real estate approval pathways (e.g. leases, easements, etc.)Strong ability to assess project viability, identify risks, and develop actionable recommendationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise project updates and decision briefsDemonstrated success working collaboratively with diverse teams, federal partners, and external stakeholdersMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft WordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsNice to have skills:Prior Active Duty or Civilian experience preferred
