Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop contract documents (plans, specifications, and quantities/estimates)
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings (organize and lead meetings)
  • Maintain current departmental organizational and quality control standards; update as necessary
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data for project planning
  • Perform design computations
  • Coordinate with and/or manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines

Required Skills:
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation
  • Construction cost estimating in detail
  • Technical specification writing
  • Proficiency in MS Office software

Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders
  • Working knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria
  • Familiarity with project management skills (scheduling, budgeting, etc.)

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent
  • 4 8 years of experience in civil design
  • Experience in task management

Preferred Experience:
  • Supervisory experience in project tasks
  • Experience in road/highway design

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent
  • 4 8 years of experience in civil design
  • Task management experience

Additional Information: Work is performed in a general office environment. The role is primarily sedentary, though occasional standing and walking may be required. Lighting and temperature conditions are adequate, with no hazardous or unpleasant elements (e.g., noise, dust) present in the office environment.
