JOB DESCRIPTION: Software Engineer Sr This position is for a senior software engineer in the area of Munitions, to develop software contributing to a subset of the contracts/work directives currently under the direction of the Munitions Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. This software engineer will report to a section manager within the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Electrical Software and Controls (ESC) Functional Engineering Directorate and will be matrixed to the Munitions Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. This software engineer will support one or two of the Munitions Program Engineering Managers on efforts limited to one or two specific contracts or work directives within the munitions team's portfolio of products. REQUIREMENTS: Software Engineer Sr •Bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline plus 5 years relevant experience; or a master's degree and 3 years of experience; or a Ph.D. and 1 years of experience.

• Must have experience: Expert C++ programmer Embedded hard real-time program design and development experience.
• Must be highly skilled in object-oriented design and C++ embedded software development.
• Must have experience working with RTOS and/or bare-metal hard real-time application development.
• Practical knowledge and experience with applicable software engineering processes.
• Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
• Contemporary design/development experience.
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills., SKILLS PREFERRED: Software Engineer Sr •Ability to conduct effective meetings, discussions, and presentations.
• Practical knowledge and experience with applicable software management processes
• Practical knowledge and experience with applicable engineering development processes.
• Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) and client Life Cycle Management
• Working Cybersecurity domain knowledge, specifically of Risk Management Framework and the requirements and process to obtain/maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). Ideally, the candidate would possess a cybersecurity certification.
