Position Title: Engine Performance Analyst
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Assignment Length: 12 Months
Introduction
This role involves supporting model-based product development in the field of control systems and automation. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing analysis methods, model architecture, calibration procedures, and workflows in a dynamic engineering environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)
- Three or more years of industry experience in a relevant field, or at least one year of industry experience combined with a relevant advanced degree.
- Experience with GT-Power and the GT-Suite software suite.
- Strong proficiency with standard engineering software, including MATLAB.
- Experience with thermofluids.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior work experience at a leading company in the industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)
- Intermediate proficiency with GT-Power and GT-Suite.
- Three or more years of engineering experience with heavy-duty diesel engines.
- Master of Science degree in engineering or higher.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)
- Assist with deploying analysis capabilities and establishing model architecture and workflow processes across engineering disciplines.
- Support development programs by conducting complex performance simulations and optimization tasks.
- Partner with engineers responsible for testing to pilot and implement advanced processes.
- Help develop advanced model capabilities, methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Contribute to new model calibration procedures and analysis methodologies.
