Engineer/Drafter
We are currently seeking a Drafter/Designer with AutoCAD experience and sound knowledge of the mechanical drafting discipline for a manufacturing customer in the Akron/Mogadore area.
In this position, you will create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing of complete waste and recycling system components, including chute systems, chute doors, compactors, and related accessories.
Hours:- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:- $45,000 - $60,000, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:- Stay up to date with new drafting software and advancements.
- Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with AutoCAD.
- Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, and customers incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
- Prepare, review and redraft designs essentially working independently.
- Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists.
- Prepare complete documentation packages for customers and internal needs.
- Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.
- Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
- Maintain a library of drawings that include all internal parts and products as well as all customer sales orders for reference.
- Provide guidance to team members involving design or drawing issues.
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture or a degree from a technical college
- Expertise in computer-aided design and drafting with AutoCAD.
- Experience with laser DFX files
- WordPress experience preferred
- The ability to draw manually is favorable, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as required.
