Job OverviewEngineer Field 2 - 25805Mission Technologies, a division of HIIHuntsville, AL (remote flexibility available)Requisition Number: 25805Level of Experience: Mid HIEmployment Type: Full Time/Salaried/ExemptAnticipated Salary Range: $58,185–$80,000Required Travel: 0–10%Security Clearance: SecretSeniority Level: Mid‑Senior levelResponsibilitiesAssist in the identification and resolution of electronic system issues both on site and remotely.Support the design, build and delivery of hardware and operating systems on multiple DoD programs.Perform routine maintenance – basic troubleshooting, installation of upgrades, and preventive maintenance.Conduct sustainment activities at the Huntsville office and travel to customer sites as required.Explore ways to improve current designs and customer support activities.Minimum Qualifications2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; or 0 years with a Master's; or High School Diploma + 6 years relevant experience.Strong ability to read and interpret wiring schematics.Proficient in troubleshooting complex electronic systems.Proficient in building electronic systems.Proficient with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (reports & presentations).Excellent verbal & written communication skills for presenting technical information.Self‑starter able to work independently or as part of a team.US Secret Security clearance required at hire.Willingness to travel occasionally.Preferred Requirements9 years experience with an associate degree in a technical field; or High School Diploma + 14 years progressive experience.Previous military electronics experience.Previous experience working with DoD programs.Good knowledge of computer/board operational characteristics.Proficiency with reading and interpreting wiring and design documentation.Strong interpersonal skills.Basic knowledge of Navy shipboard alarms, announcing and radar systems, and Apache Fire Control Radar (plus).Physical RequirementsMay require working in an industrial or shipboard environment.Typically not required to lift more than 40 lbs.May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors.BenefitsCompetitive benefits including medical, dental and vision plans, wellness resources, 401(k) savings plan, life insurance, tuition reimbursement and early‑childhood/personal education scholarships.
