As an Engineer II in Packaging Engineering, you'll support continuous improvement, ensure quality standards, and optimize production processes while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Lead technical projects and provide manufacturing support to help deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.You will participate in new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment optimization initiatives. Using data-driven approaches and lean methodologies, you'll identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, project management, and other teams as the subject matter expert for packaging equipment, process and serialization.RequirementsKnowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirementsExperience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesProficient in statistical analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving techniques. Troubleshooting capabilities and data analysisCAPA Identification and implementationProject management abilities and experience leading cross‑functional initiativesExperience with engineering documentation, specifications, and change control processesExpertise with CAD software, manufacturing systems, and data analysis toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in cleanroom environments and comply with required PPE/gowning proceduresAvailable to work flexible hours and provide on‑call support as neededProficiency with Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing/packaging software systemsExperience with automation, controls, and process validation preferredKnowledge of equipment qualification and calibration processesAbility to mentor and train manufacturing/packaging personnelMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistanceEducationAdvanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in regulated industriesPreferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)Relevant technical certifications or apprenticeships are valuedThermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
