Job Summary
The Engineer Product II will develop and support vehicle electrical systems for Riding Lawn Mowers and Compact Utility Tractors. The role involves electrical system design, integration, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development process.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and manage electrical system requirements for hardware and software.
· Design, develop, and release vehicle electrical systems and wiring harnesses.
· Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for vehicle electrical systems.
· Develop and support electrical components, wiring harnesses, schematics, and system integration.
· Work with suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration.
· Support builds throughout different stages of the product development cycle.
· Conduct feasibility testing, validation, and analysis of engineering solutions.
· Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and technical documentation.
· Identify process/system issues and implement improvements through change management.
· Manage small- to medium-scale engineering projects within established schedules, cost, and quality requirements.
· Collaborate with Supply Management, Quality, PV&V, Program Management, suppliers, and other engineering teams.
· Analyze technical data and trends to support engineering decisions and project reporting.
· Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
· Support production builds during off-shift hours, when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· 3+ years of vehicle electrical system design, integration, or testing experience.
· Experience designing/testing: Electrical components, Wiring harnesses, Electrical schematics, Hardware/software interfaces
· Experience managing project deliverables.
· Knowledge of product development processes.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to identify, assess, and manage project risks and scope changes.
· Knowledge of engineering design, testing, validation, and improvement processes.
· Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and organizational groups.
· Willingness to work off-shift hours as needed.
· Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Preferred / Desired Skills
· Experience with agricultural or off-highway vehicle development.
· Experience creating and maintaining BOMs for vehicle or test equipment systems.
· Experience with SIL or HiL testing, embedded product validation/verification, or test scripting.
· Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
· Project management experience.
· Experience leading or training new team members/peers.
· Experience coordinating design/test activities with remotely located teams.
· Knowledge of systems engineering practices.
· Advanced training in an additional engineering discipline.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
· Equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
