Job Title - Modem System Test Engineer – UICC/eSIM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Modem System Test Engineer to join the UICC/eSIM Modem System Test team. In this role, you will be responsible for system-level testing and validation of the Modem–UICC interface, along with eSIM/iSIM operating system and platform validation across 5G, LTE, and WCDMA mobile technologies.

You will work on end-to-end validation of modem features, SIM/eSIM functionality, Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP), and test automation while collaborating closely with software development, application engineering, and program management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system-level testing and validation of the Modem–UICC interface on 5G, LTE, and WCDMA devices.
• Validate eSIM/iSIM operating systems, platforms, applications, profiles, and Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP).
• Execute end-to-end testing of voice, data, and SMS services across Single SIM and Dual SIM devices.
• Validate modem features impacting the UICC interface, including IMS, VoLTE, and VoNR.
• Test Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) using GSMA SGP.22 and SGP.32 specifications.
• Verify SIM Toolkit (STK) functionality using test applets on eSIM and iSIM platforms.
• Develop test plans, execute test cases, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and track defects.
• Perform protocol log analysis using QXDM and other diagnostic tools.
• Support test automation using Python, Java, or C++.
• Work with wireless test equipment from Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), and Anritsu.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and successful commercialization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in Mobile Test Engineering, Wireless Validation, or Modem Testing.
• Strong understanding of 5G, LTE, IMS, VoLTE, and VoNR technologies.
• Experience with SIM, USIM, UICC, eSIM, or iSIM technologies.
• Knowledge of Android smartphone platforms.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and protocol log analysis skills.
• Experience using QXDM for log collection and analysis.
• Experience with Python, Java, or C++ for test automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GSMA SGP.22 and SGP.32 Remote SIM Provisioning.
• Knowledge of GlobalPlatform (GP), ETSI, TCA, and 3GPP specifications.
• Experience with SIM Toolkit (STK) and Toolkit Test Applets.
• Hands-on experience with Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), and Anritsu wireless test equipment.
• Experience working with handset OEMs, chipset vendors, or wireless network operators.
