At least seven (7) years of recent, relevant hands-on experience within the last ten (10) years in the operation, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing of U.S. Navy Auxiliary equipment including, but not limited to: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, hoisting, and control subsystems for surface-ship and aircraft-carrier elevator systems such as cargo/weapons elevators, hydraulic power units, ammunition hoists and elevators, aircraft elevators, safety-stanchion systems, cargo elevators, lift platforms, ship-service and food-service dumbwaiters, conveyor systems, and elevator/hangar doors (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and computer-controlled). Conduct Assessments, Inspections, and Grooms determining equipment condition and out of specification settings; observe operation of the equipment by ship's force to witness the full range of performance, when possible; utilize appropriate measuring equipment to obtain data for evaluation; evaluate findings and provide technical guidance/over-the-shoulder direction for adjustments and repairs to the maximum extent possible during the time available.
