JOB DESCRIPTION
We at Northrop Grumman Missions Systems are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of requirements development, test case development, and verification and validation of those requirements. The ideal candidate should be proficient with requirements technical baseline management via IBM Rational DOORS, and act as the technical lead and point of contact to the Chief Engineer and customer.
'TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
Demonstrated success with:
Technical baseline management
Writing and updating DOORS requirements
Decomposing and deriving requirements based on customer specificationsExperience in System Engineering activities such as:
Software requirements development
Requirements development
Test Case development
Verification and Validation, i.e., experience running tests and documenting results
Excellent written and oral communication skills including:
Demonstrated experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders o Demonstrated experience communicating technical information, e.g. requirements updates, test plans, integration test plans, etc.…
Demonstrated Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts
Collaborating with cross-functional teams
Active DoD Secret clearance required at the time of application
Ability to work onsite full-time at Woodland Hills, CA
Nice To Have
Experience with the following interfaces:
MIL-STD-1553 o Experience with ARINC-429
Experience with Ethernet
Experience working in an Agile engineering team
Experience with JIRA
Systems Engineering experience on large, complex systems
Lab and system integration experience
Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Cameo modeling (or equivalent)
Experience with ClearQuest / ClearCase
Key Responsibilities:
Basic Qualifications - Principal System Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR PhD degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ years of engineering experience
