POSITION: Engineering (Dual Enrollment) Teacher - Sabas Perez School for Engineering (Cigarroa HS)

SALARY: Teacher Salary Schedule + $500 per Dual Enrollment Course

MINIMUM 187 Days

MINIMUM Master's degree from an accredited institution. REQUIREMENTS: 18 Graduate Semester Credit Hours in Engineering. Valid Texas teaching certificate in area assigned. (Ex. Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 6-12). OR Master's degree from an accredited institution. 18 Graduate Semester Credit Hours in Engineering. Five years of full-time wage-earning work experience within the past ten years as a professional in an Engineering related position. Complete Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) form: the required work experience must be approved by the designated district administrator.

• Selected candidate must be approved by the Institution of Higher Education (IHE)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience teaching or working in computer science, programming, or related technology fields.

SPECIAL Knowledge of subjects assigned. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Knowledge of curriculum and the effective delivery of instruction. Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior. Ability to interpret data. Ability to design instructional activities to close achievement gaps. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

REPORTS TO: Principal

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Design, plan, and deliver engaging instructional activities which will result in mastery of the state curriculum. Provide students with opportunities to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth.
