Position OverviewThe Engineering Intern supports the design, and delivery of commercial or industrial projects while gaining hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, the intern will assist with technical tasks, learn industry best practices, and develop foundational skills for a successful engineering career. Support the preparation of drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables. Conduct research and gather technical information for engineering projects. Potential to participate in field visits, site observations, and project meetings as opportunities arise. Review plans and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members across multiple disciplines. Learn and apply engineering principles, software, standards, and company processes. Maintain organized project files and documentation. Complete assigned tasks while meeting quality, schedule, and communication expectations.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program. Junior standing or higher preferred.Minimum 3.0 GPA.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated interest in engineering design, problem-solving, and professional development.Preferred QualificationsPrevious internship, co-op, construction, manufacturing, or engineering-related experience. Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D Strong academic performance in engineering coursework. Involvement in engineering clubs, organizations, competitions, or leadership activities. Interest in pursuing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and eventual Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
