Description

The City of Saginaw is seeking an intern to support the Engineering Department in a part-time role. The intern will collaborate with engineering staff, offering general office assistance, data collection, research on municipal records, and utilizing AutoCAD for basic design and record updates.

Major Duties

Qualifications

Current student enrolled in a post-secondary educational facility as a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Additionally, the intern should possess the following qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS Systems, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other mapping applications desirable.
• Previous working experience with Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated to meet deadlines
• Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Solve problems independently with some direction

Working Conditions

Position is Part time 16-28 hours/week
