Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team responsible for the design, development, and production of complex electromechanical products within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee engineering operations, mentor technical staff, drive innovation, ensure successful program execution, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a proven engineering leader with strong people management skills and a solid technical foundation. Candidates with experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or other regulated industries are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish engineering goals, priorities, and performance expectations.

  • Conduct coaching, employee development, and succession planning activities.

  • Build and maintain a high-performing engineering organization.

  • Oversee engineering activities from concept through production and product lifecycle support.

  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

  • Manage engineering resources and project priorities across multiple programs.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, efficiency, and product quality.

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful program execution.

  • Support proposal development, technical reviews, and customer presentations.

  • Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Provide engineering support throughout prototype, production, testing, and sustainment phases.

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.

  • Support quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO standards.

  • Develop engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and engineering methodologies.

  • Support long-term product development initiatives and innovation efforts.

  • Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading engineering activities that result in the successful qualification and production release of new products, including verification, validation, environmental testing, and customer qualification efforts.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems, Aerospace, Electromechanical, or a related discipline).

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering management experience leading technical teams.

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, military, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations.

  • Strong understanding of engineering design processes, product development, manufacturing support, and systems integration.

  • Experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
