Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Quality departments to ensure seamless collaboration across new product development and quality assurance efforts.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications, and CAD/SolidWorks models to identify quality, manufacturability, reliability, and performance risks early in development.
• Lead product validation, verification, reliability testing, quality test plans, and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
• Ensure products meet quality standards, validation requirements, and production readiness criteria before release.
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality issues, leading investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and issue resolution with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs and metrics, identifying trends and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Serve as the company's quality engineering subject matter expert, providing recommendations, technical leadership, and guidance across the product lifecycle.
• Help build and scale the Quality Engineering function as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong engineering design and build experience with the ability to assess technical designs and identify potential manufacturing, reliability, and quality risks.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with product validation, reliability testing, quality test plans, and production readiness activities.
• Experience leading FAI, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality investigations.
• Knowledge of quality systems, KPIs, continuous improvement, and ISO 9001/ISO 14001 standards.
• Six Sigma experience preferred; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Self-starter who is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and capable of independently assessing issues and driving results.
