Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting to maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the facility. Maintaining and repairing facility equipment, tools, furniture, and systems appropriate with your training and certifications. Follow all tasks as set forth by the Director of Engineering. Provide work direction and guidance while performing work in one or more of the skilled trades to other Engineering Technicians. Required to take part in on-call rotation.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of technical trade or two (2) year relevant trade degree.
Minimum Work Experience
Five years' experience working with boilers, electrical systems, generators, HVAC, plumbing systems or other mechanical equipment, and construction or carpentry.
Required Skills
Prioritize, schedule, assign and inspect work.
Train and provide leadership direction to Engineering Services staff in the performance of a variety of duties.
Interpret, follow, explain and apply all regulatory codes, standards and regulations involved in maintaining a healthcare facility.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Estimate labor and material cost.
Work independently with little direction. Meet deadlines for work and projects.
Prepare written and verbal reports to Director of Engineering.
Required Licenses
Valid Driver's License.
