Job Title: Engineering Technician I
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Coal Valley, IL 61240
Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)

Job Summary
Perform instrumented testing using established procedures to verify machine and component performance against product specifications. Support product verification and validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and perform field and laboratory tests.
· Install fixtures, instrumentation, and test components.
· Execute tests using computer-controlled and mechanical systems.
· Develop programs for data acquisition.
· Collect and record digital and analog test data.
· Compile test reports and communicate results to engineering teams.
· Collaborate with engineers and technicians on test progress and issues.
· Coordinate with experimental shop and field testing teams.
· Provide work direction to test operators.
· Perform test teardown, cleanup, and equipment reset.
· Troubleshoot testing issues and support product development.

Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma/GED.
· Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Experience with power tools and metalworking equipment.
· Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Good verbal and written communication.
· Ability to work independently with general guidance.
· Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
· Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
· Knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
· Basic understanding of heat transfer.
· Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLC programming.
