Engineering Technician

Engineering TechnicianRequired Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education: Associate's degree or technical training in the area of responsibility.Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Minimum of 1 year's experience in a laboratory environment. Minimum of 1 year's experience in electric product development. Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs.Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years' experience in a lab environment and PLC product experience. Analyze, document, and report test results within an A2LA ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Understand and interpret a wide range of IEC standards related to EMC, Safety, climatic, and mechanical environments. Experience in equipment maintenance and inspection. Experience in equipment calibration. Maintain communication and develop relationships with internal and external personnel. Participate and contribute to both internal and external audits of the quality management system. Support the quality management system, accreditation audits, assisting with evidence, method review, corrective actions, and updates to laboratory procedures. Participate in and contribute to the accreditation requirements (ISO/IEC 17025), continuous process improvements. SAP experience.This position will be based at their Johnson City, TN site. This position will work the daytime shift and on-site.Responsibilities: Ensure ongoing accreditation with ISO 17025 requirements for the laboratory. Plan and execute tests at project initiation and manage any issues that occur during testing. Provide support for and oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.
