Title: Enterprise Risk & Controls Lead

Location: NYC

Salary: $150k - $175k base + bonus

Company summary: We are partnered with a leading quantitative investment firm that combines technology, data science, artificial intelligence, and systematic investing to drive investment decisions. This role sits within Enterprise Risk Management and offers the opportunity to build and enhance the firm's operational risk and control testing framework, partnering closely with engineering, modeling, and business teams while providing visibility to senior leadership in a highly collaborative and intellectually rigorous environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in building a control assurance testing framework for key business processes across the firm
• Conduct control assurance testing by documenting processes and controls, evaluating control effectiveness, and identifying control gaps or failures
• Manage projects by coordinating stakeholders, driving meetings, building consensus, and overseeing timelines and deliverables
• Partner with Operational Risk leads to track remediation efforts and ensure continued progress
• Build reporting and dashboard infrastructure to provide operational risk metrics
• Generate and distribute enterprise-wide and corporate risk reporting and metrics

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices within large financial institutions
• Ability to align operational risk strategies with broader business objectives
• Comfortable balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution and analysis
• Experience leading control testing engagements, with exposure to technology and the ability to partner with both technical and business stakeholders
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
