PGS Worldwide is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Trumbull, CT for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform organizational-level maintenance on aircraft landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, and related components. This entry-level opportunity includes troubleshooting, installation, repair, maintenance documentation, equipment setup, and material-handling support. Training may be provided to a candidate with the appropriate mechanical aptitude and aircraft maintenance background.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Ability to read and follow technical orders, fault-isolation manuals, ground operating procedures, and local operating instructions.
• Understanding of organizational-level aircraft maintenance practices.
• Ability to perform maintenance on landing gear, flight controls, hydraulic systems, and related components.
• Ability to accurately document completed work in maintenance data-collection systems.
• Ability to create, update, and close maintenance jobs within electronic tracking systems.
• Ability to follow depot-level maintenance, servicing, and cannibalization procedures.
• Ability to take responsibility for the quality and completeness of assigned maintenance work.
• Ability to participate in equipment and work-area setup activities.
• Ability to assist with receiving and storing supplies and support equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintenance safety and procedural compliance.
Preferred Skills
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Previous helicopter or rotorcraft maintenance experience.
• Military aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience using electronic aircraft maintenance documentation systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, flight-control, or landing-gear systems.
What You’ll Do
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft landing gear, flight controls, and hydraulic systems.
• Install, remove, service, and maintain aircraft components.
• Perform organizational-level aircraft maintenance.
• Follow technical orders, maintenance manuals, and operating procedures.
• Record maintenance actions in the applicable data-collection system.
• Create and complete maintenance jobs and component records.
• Support depot-level maintenance and component cannibalization activities.
• Verify that assigned maintenance is completed accurately and safely.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing supplies and support equipment.
• Participate in work-area, equipment, and operational setup activities.
• Perform additional aircraft maintenance duties as assigned.
Pay
• $21.00 per hour
