The Electrical Engineer will support the design, integration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and electro-mechanical systems. This role combines hands-on electrical engineering with software-based test and automation tools to support system verification, validation, and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering foundation and an interest in applying software tools to enhance testing, data acquisition, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and control systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical systems, identifying and resolving hardware and software-related issues.
Interpret, modify, and redline electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support system integration, verification, and validation testing activities.
Configure and maintain instrumentation, data acquisition hardware, sensors, controls, and communication interfaces.
Develop, modify, or maintain software tools used for test automation, data acquisition, and system control.
Maintain configuration control of software, test procedures, and engineering documentation.
Analyze test data, document results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work under the guidance of senior engineers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, laboratory, or test engineering environments.
Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical schematics.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cRIO, PXI, PLC systems, AIO/DIO, GPIB, RS-422, CAN, AC/DC power supplies, relays, sensors, and control systems.
Familiarity with test and measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
Exposure to software and automation tools such as NI LabVIEW, VeriStand, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Ladder Logic, or Arduino.
Experience supporting test automation, instrumentation, or systems integration activities.
