A Home Comfort & Services Representative at Hero is responsible for performing members annual plumbing and/or electrical evaluations and recommending solutions for residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Success in this role starts with the ability to build trust with homeowners, communicate clearly, and help customers understand the best solutions for their home needs. Technical aptitude is important but technical skills will be provided through internal training (classroom & on-the-job training)

 

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working directly with customers, solving problems, and creating exceptional experiences. Whether you love providing great customer service and experiences, interested in the trades, or a recent trade school graduate, Hero provides ongoing training, coaching, and opportunities to expand your skills across multiple trades. We will assist you with registering as a plumbing or electrical apprentice and all your time at Hero will count towards your plumbing or electrical hours.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform residential evaluations of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Build trust and establish strong relationships with homeowners through exceptional customer service.
• Work closely with licensed plumbers and electricians to educate customers on system conditions, repair options, preventative maintenance, and replacement opportunities.
• Work closely with licensed plumbers and electricians to present solutions that meet customers' needs and provide value-driven recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve home comfort, safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Document service findings and recommendations accurately and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with dispatch, managers, and support staff to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and professional appearance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes and standards.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Customer service, sales, or consultative experience strongly preferred.
• Trade school graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in residential service, maintenance, home services, retail sales, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, accept coaching, and grow professionally.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various residential environments.
• Reliable attendance, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
