    Job Description

Entry Level Industrial Preventative Mechanic – 1st Shift

    Clemens Food Group | Onsite

    Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | Approximately 5:00 AM–2:00 PM

    Why Join Clemens Food Group?

Do you enjoy working with your hands, figuring out how things work, and learning new mechanical skills?

Maybe you've worked on cars, repaired equipment, helped maintain machinery, or simply enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together.

If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to build a career in industrial maintenance, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

At Clemens Food Group, we're looking for an Entry Level Industrial Preventative Mechanic  who wants to learn the trade, develop practical skills, and become a valuable part of our maintenance team.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who brings the right attitude, mechanical curiosity, and commitment to working safely.

    The Impact You'll Make

Manufacturing equipment needs regular care to keep production moving. That's where you come in.

As an Entry Level Industrial Preventative Mechanic , you'll help keep essential equipment in good working condition through inspections, lubrication, preventative maintenance, and basic mechanical repairs.

Your work will help the team:

    • Identify worn or damaged components before they become bigger problems.

    • Maintain equipment through consistent preventative maintenance.

    • Support production by addressing basic mechanical issues.

    • Create a safer, cleaner, and more reliable working environment.

    • Reduce the likelihood of avoidable equipment interruptions.

You'll be contributing to the reliability of our operation while developing your own technical abilities.

    What You'll Do

Working alongside experienced maintenance mechanics, you'll gain hands-on experience with equipment and mechanical systems.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assist with maintaining and repairing conveyor systems, including belts, pulleys, and rollers.

    • Perform routine lubrication, equipment inspections, and preventative maintenance.

    • Help identify worn, damaged, or failing mechanical components.

    • Assist with minor adjustments and replacements involving chains, tensioners, and drive systems.

    • Support basic pneumatic maintenance, including checking hoses and changing filters.

    • Learn how to work safely around hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    • Use hand tools, power tools, equipment manuals, and simple mechanical diagrams.

    • Support troubleshooting by gathering information, observing equipment behavior, and communicating findings.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

    • Work closely with senior mechanics and production personnel to resolve basic equipment issues.

    What Makes This Role Exciting?

You can build your skills while doing real mechanical work.

This isn't a position where you're expected to arrive knowing how to repair every piece of equipment.

You'll have opportunities to learn from experienced mechanics, understand industrial equipment, and develop the practical skills needed to become a stronger maintenance professional.

Every day brings opportunities to learn.

From conveyor adjustments to equipment inspections, you'll gain exposure to different mechanical systems and maintenance activities.

You'll see the results of your work.

When equipment runs reliably because of proper maintenance, you'll know your contribution matters.

You'll develop a foundation for your future.

As your knowledge and experience grow, you'll build skills in mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

    What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who enjoy mechanical work, take pride in doing things correctly, and are motivated to learn.

    What you'll need:

    • A basic understanding of mechanical systems or how mechanical components work.

    • Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools, with a willingness to develop your skills.

    • Ability to follow instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.

    • Strong attention to detail and an ability to recognize when something doesn't look or sound right.

    • Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn from experienced mechanics.

    • Dependability and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, approximately 5:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Experience that's helpful, but not required:

    • Up to two years of mechanical, industrial, or equipment maintenance experience.

    • Familiarity with conveyor systems, mechanical assembly, or lubrication practices.

    • Exposure to pneumatic or hydraulic equipment.

    • Interest in welding, fabrication, or additional mechanical skills.

    • Hands-on experience repairing or maintaining machinery or equipment.

    Skills & Mindset

Technical skills are important, but your approach to work matters just as much.

    We're looking for someone who:

    • Is mechanically curious: You enjoy understanding how things work and why they sometimes fail.

    • Takes safety seriously: You understand that following procedures protects you and your teammates.

    • Is dependable: Your team can count on you to show up ready to contribute.

    • Pays attention to details: You notice small issues and communicate them before they become bigger problems.

    • Is coachable: You're comfortable learning from others and asking questions.

    • Works well with others: You communicate clearly and understand the importance of teamwork.

    • Takes pride in their work: You want to complete tasks correctly, even when they're routine.

    Your Future at Clemens

This role is designed to help you build a strong foundation in industrial maintenance.

You'll begin by supporting routine maintenance activities and basic repairs under direct supervision. As you develop your knowledge and confidence, you'll gain valuable exposure to equipment troubleshooting, mechanical components, and maintenance practices.

If you're looking for an opportunity to turn your mechanical interest into practical industrial maintenance experience, this is a place to start.

Ready to put your mechanical skills to work and keep learning?
